Now I can run android studio with emulator. The computer will turn off when finished each step.

I guess you can do the EC install from the first patch and skip the BIOS patch (step 2) if you are doing the last patch afterwards.ĭid not think it trough so I did both updates in step one. I used a USB stick and used two partitions W95 FAT32 for the second where I stored the extracted utility archives. I installed UNetBootin as tool to create the floppy image using the Free DOS distribution. There is supposed to be a version for Linux, AFULNX, but this is not easily available.

Since I am now running Ubuntu on this laptop I needed to use the DOS version of the Ami Firmware Update AFUDOS. Do THE EC FIRST!!! Follow the readme file. These are no longer found on which had ftp sites earlier. I downloaded from here in stead. The fan problem has been an irritation, but more of a practical problem is that I now could not use Android Studio with emulator since I could not activate virtualization in BIOS. The app will start minimised in the notification area.I also have an older laptop with the W240HU/W250HUQ motherboard BIOS 1.01.06 and KBC/EC 1.00.02: D02A

Thanks Uses OpenHardwareMonitor library for GPU temperature Uses ClevoEcInfo.dll for fan control which relies on NTPort 2.8 library (included in release download - the installer might give an error but it should still work.

Be careful when using it as a permament fan control solution, I am not responsible for any damage caused by any malfunctioning of the app. Please remember that this is very much a work in progress which I just quickly put together in one day for my own use and sharing here so other developers can work with it or users can play around with it.It only uses two fans (1 for CPU and 2 for GPU) but I'm sure this can be easily modified. Anything 40 through to 85 can be configured at 5 C intervals. Under 40 C, the fans will automatically be set to 0. The fan icon is borrowed from the Obsidian Fan Control app.Ĭurrently the app is very basic. A custom fan control control app for Clevo laptops.
